2024 House Election Forecast Maps

2024 house elections

Most are white, but the district boasts a sizable Asian and Latino population. Overlooking San Francisco from the east, this densely-populated Bay area district runs across Alameda County, north to Albany and Berkeley and south to parts of San Leandro, with Oakland — one of the most diverse cities in California — in between. The overwhelmingly liberal district is the birthplace of the Free Speech Movement and the Black Panther Party. Today, the district is 36% white, 20% Asian and 16% Black, with 22% identifying as Hispanic or Latino.

Granderson: Republicans aren’t protecting elections. They don’t want democracy

On Friday, the RNC announced plans to train poll watchers, poll workers and lawyers and send out more than 100,000 attorneys and volunteers to monitor vote-counting across battleground states in November. During an interview this month with Fox News, the RNC chairman, Michael Whatley, emphasized the party’s plans to prioritize election-related litigation. He said the RNC is recruiting and training tens of thousands of poll observers and working with thousands of attorneys.

Biden’s speech, which lasted around 10 minutes, made no mention of the ongoing war or the growing humanitarian crisis in Gaza. But the president quickly segued to a grim speech about what he believes is at stake this election, saying that another Trump administration would be even more harmful to America than his first term. “One of our biggest changes from last cycle to this cycle was making the election integrity department its own department with its own dedicated budget and focus,” Alvarez said. Various other groups have filed similar litigation recently, including a lawsuit against the Maryland State Board of Elections claiming the state’s voting system is not in compliance with federal and state law. Voter ID rules, mail ballots and voter roll maintenance are among the RNC’s litigation targets. The latest is a lawsuit this month alleging that Michigan has failed to keep its voter rolls up to date.

The increasing population of white, college-educated voters in the state's Research Triangle continues to make the state competitive. But Republicans have won it in all but one presidential election since 1976. One of the few mentions came from Kelly O’Donnell, president of the correspondents’ association, who briefly noted some 100 journalists killed in Israel’s 6-month-old war against Hamas in Gaza.

"I would be very surprised if we have a turnout rate like we saw in 2020," McDonald said. "And the people who would most likely then not participate ... are going to be these lower-education voters. And so it's going to pose a real challenge to the Trump campaign, to energize these folks yet again to vote in 2020." Combined with the increasing Latino and Asian American population and a remigration to the South of young Black voters, particularly in Georgia, that has meant a reshaping of the electoral map. But they are declining as a share of the population and of the electorate. That's a big reason Trump lost despite whites without degrees voting at a higher rate in 2020 (64%) compared to 2016 (55%), according to data from Michael McDonald, the preeminent turnout expert in the country and professor at the University of Florida. But the toss up states are expected to be close, within just a few points, in either candidate's direction.

The Republican National Committee, newly reconstituted under Trump, has filed election-related lawsuits in nearly half the states. Recent lawsuits over voter roll maintenance in Michigan and Nevada are part of a larger strategy targeting various aspects of voting and election administration. The annual event presents a great opportunity for comedians, and also a veritable minefield. Because every president except for Trump has attended the White House Correspondents Association event since it launched early last century, there is heightened sensitivity about decorum. Some comedians, such as Stephen Colbert, Michelle Wolf and Larry Wilmore, have tripped those sensibilities. Others have held forth at the event without a scratch.

Rep. David Valadao, a Republican, defied the district’s partisan lean to hold onto his seat in 2022, squeezing past Latino Democrat Rudy Salas by three percentage points. So Democrats have placed this district near the top of their list of pickup targets again in 2024, hoping that more favorable turnout in a presidential election year can make the difference. They have backed another challenge by Salas, who has the support of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, as well as endorsements from the California Democratic Party and Newsom. This swing Central Valley district, where more than 60% of registered voters are Latino, takes in parts of Kings and Tulare counties, as well as the eastern side of Bakersfield.

By contrast, Biden, who won 51% of the vote last time, knows that Trump’s core vote is solid. Rather than try to chip away at Trump’s total, his goal has to be to get past him. In an interview last month with Reuters, for example, Kennedy strongly supported Israel and expressed skepticism about a cease-fire in Gaza. Every previous cease-fire “has been used by Hamas to rearm, to rebuild and then launch another surprise attack. Some of his other views also clearly wouldn’t sit well with groups of Democrats who are disenchanted with Biden, especially those on the left. Kennedy picked up 15% of those who had chosen Trump in the two-way matchup and 7% of those who had chosen Biden, giving him 13% overall, the poll found.

Track Biden’s support in every state of the union, and compare his national numbers to Donald Trump’s. Our new Senate Forecast breaks down the chances both parties have of securing a majority in 2024. It will be updated daily from now until the election. Texas is a majority-minority state, but remains something of a white whale in Democratic politics. In 2020, it was the closest it has been since 1996, decided by 7 points.

The industrial Midwest has moved more toward Republicans because of the shift toward the GOP among white voters without college degrees. That's why states like Ohio and Iowa, which were competitive for decades until the Trump era, are no longer Democratic targets. That's only slightly behind what they're spending in Michigan. Biden is trying to make up ground there with younger voters and Black voters, groups he's lagging with. Trump and groups supporting him have spent only about $700,000 in Pennsylvania in that same time frame. Trump was also indicted in federal court in August over the fake electors scheme.

Everett Stern (Independent) withdrew from the race on October 25 and endorsed Fetterman. Fetterman served as Pennsylvania’s lieutenant governor. In 2018, he was elected 58% to 41% on a joint ticket with incumbent Governor Tom Wolf (D).

He used his moment at the WHCD to dish out insults across the political spectrum. He cautioned President Biden to step more carefully as he walked up the stairs to Air Force Once and poked fun at Rupert Murdoch, the force behind Fox Corp. and Fox News Channel. Which is strange — I didn’t think there was a step down from Fox News,” Jost said. Alaska Small Ship Cruises Lindblad Expeditions & National Geographic

Most cruises travel in protected waters, rarely traveling more than a few miles away from shore. Positioning cruises and small ship Alaska cruises that venture close to the open water of the Gulf of Alaska are more prone to exposure to ocean swells for brief periods of their itinerary. If you are sensitive to seasickness, consult our guide on how to prevent and treat seasickness on cruises and tell your Adventure Specialist. We can advise you which ships and itineraries may have a better chance to encounter these conditions. Look for cruises aboard ships branded with National Geographic if you are seeking the highest level of education. To learn more about these unique guides, read our review of Lindblad Alaska.

Small cruise ships to Alaska bring your experience to a whole new level—namely, eye level, by encouraging active adventures off the ship. Larger expedition-style Alaskan cruise ships in the 50 to 100 passenger range typically have larger cabins, many with view windows, more deck space for watching wildlife and more common areas. Not to mention additional adventure gear aboard and more guides to diversify your experience.

Alaska Small Ship Cruises To Consider — Alaska Expert M.T. Schwartzman Shares Details

Remarkable small-ship cruises in Alaska’s Prince William Sound. You will be visiting the warmer, dryer area of the interior and the cooler, wetter rainforest of the southeast coast. We suggest you pack clothing that can be layered for various weather conditions.

The ship has two inflatable boats for shore excursions and wildlife-viewing. The 62-passenger National Geographic Sea Bird and National Geographic Sea Lion have been with the line since 1981, but have been refurbished and are still well suited to long and short Alaska itineraries. The larger, newer National Geographic Quest( added in 2016) and National Geographic Venture (launched in 2018) carry 100 passengers apiece. The line generally doesn't stop in touristy ports like Skagway, and instead keeps its ships close to Alaska's wilderness, though Wrangell, Misty Fjords and Tracy Arm do feature on some itineraries.

The bar had good beer, liquor and wine and the bartender was always ready with some kind of treat when we came back from our adventures. We loved our cabin on the lower level of the Wilderness Discoverer. We had a window that opened right out to the ocean - incredible views. Toilet paper was a little rough (biodegradable) but everything was clean and the beds were comfortable.

Space under seats or in the overhead rack is typically small, and designed to accommodate items like coats, hats, purses, and small camera bags, etc. Tauck luggage tags will be provided by your Tauck Director on Day 1 of your itinerary. Please do not attach a Tauck luggage tag to any carry-on items, as the Tauck tags designate luggage that is to be handled and transferred by ground operators and hotel staff during your journey. If you are a U.S. citizen, you do not require a visa for the short duration of this tour. Please note that longer stays abroad for any purpose may require additional travel documentation.

Final Payment is due to Tauck 60 days before departure for lands trips, and 120 days before departure for cruises and rail journeys. Fortunately for adventurous travelers several cruise lines offer small ship Alaska cruises -- and they’re expanding their fleets, itineraries and excursion offerings. Here's a look at Alaska's small ship cruises and where they travel. A small ship Alaska cruise is one of the most intensive ways to explore Alaska's coast. Unlike the massive ships that ply the waters of the Gulf of Alaska and Inside Passage, small Alaska cruises can dock in isolated bays and fjords or picture-perfect small towns far from the crowded tourist trail.

Love looking out over the ocean and just watching the world go by. The bathrooms are functional with an oddly placed outlet for razors, up above the mirror. Showers feature massaging heads and a clingy shower curtain that rarely contains the water. There are also large dispensers with generic shower gel and shampoo.

If you’re traveling without the kids (or just want to get away from the kids for a while), head to Serenity, the ship’s adults-only deck retreat. Here’s more of what to expect, so you can start planning your Carnival Sunshine cruise. Don’t worry — that’s because all of them were renamed when the Destiny class was rechristened the Sunshine class, and all of the ships received new names and new looks.

They also have walk-in closets and whirlpool tubs, as well as large sofas, which can fold down, so you can fit as many as five people in each. Deck three has some of the best “quiet spots” on board.

Traditional balconies have room for two chairs and a small table. As mentioned earlier, the ship shows signs of wear and tear, which was evident on our balcony. It desperately needed a good scrub to get rid of the dark spots and paint drippings. The line's focus on having a great time is infused in every aspect of your cruise experience, and guests are an extension of that ethos. Every passenger I encountered was friendly and ready to participate in all the activities the Fun Squad had planned. Carnival Sunshine is a great home base for a celebratory vacation (or any kind of getaway, really) that doesn't break the bank, especially if you live within driving distance of one of its departure ports.

It also received a multimillion-dollar refit in 2005, when the ship was nearly ten years old, that upgraded its public spaces. More renovations occurred in 2010, with changes to the ship’s Lido deck and cabins. Ah, imagine a perfect day out on the links, the golfer's zen of the ball, the hole and nothing in between but well-manicured fairway... Whoever it was, they had one thing in mind — maximum fun for mini-golfers, big and small!

Cabin decks have a total of 55 Suites, 508 Balconies, 342 Oceanviews, 586 Inside cabins, Self Service Laundromats (passenger use launderettes). Carnival Sunshine boasts a pair of two-level main dining rooms with menus boasting a fabulous assortment of favorites that you can enjoy along with ocean views from the large windows. Sophisticated palates that expect both quality and variety won't be disappointed. Casual venues include a two-story indoor/outdoor buffet restaurant with a host of delicious offerings, from handcrafted burgers and fries at a poolside eatery to Asian dishes and deli-style fare.

There were two shelves on both sides of the mirror for toiletry storage and a decent amount of counter space for such a small area. The shower included pump dispensers for shampoo and body wash, as well as a retractable clothesline for drying swimwear. It was basic, with neutral walls and blue patterned carpeting. No cutting-edge designs here, but I wouldn't expect that from an older ship.

Unfortunately, the wall came out a bit to the left of the TV, which made it impossible to swivel the TV to the left and view it from the bed. It had about 10 channels of news, movies and children's programming, and several Carnival-sponsored channels. Also, other than the night of the storm, I didn't encounter any extensive rocking or shifting that was out of the ordinary for a cruise ship. Although Carnival reduced cabin cleaning service to just once a day from twice a day in 2022, our room steward was always close by and checking in on us.

Carnival made a heavy investment in lights and sound for its shows on Carnival Breeze and has taken a step further on Sunshine. An ultra-HD graphics package is beamed onto a vast screen and the performers use it as a backdrop of their show. A number of themed shows take place in ship's Liquid Lounge, which doubles as the 800-seat main Theater. Because the room was initially designed as a theater with two stories, it's impossible to feature an intimate atmosphere. Carnival Sunshine is one of the most active Carnival Cruise ships, featuring plenty of bars and restaurants, entertainment areas, and a stellar design throughout the ship.

One of the best parts of this deck is that the entire area, including the pool, is free from children. So, as an incentive to get people into the restaurant on embarkation day, Carnival offers a free bottle of wine. The steakhouse is already a great deal at $35 per person, but when you throw in a bottle of wine… It is an offer too good to pass up.

Mainstream cruise lines cater to a variety of guests, hoping to provide something for everyone. These typically cost about $100 - $350 per person per day. Some are included in the cost of the cruise, while others have an additional charge. As cruise vessel class, the Destiny-Sunshine ship is the first of all three Destiny-class liners - together with Triumph-Sunrise and Victory-Radiance, and also Costa Cruises boats Fortuna and Magica.

Florida Georgia Line Cruise Remix Lyrics

cruise song lyrics florida georgia line

The recording by Florida Georgia Line reached No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100 on its initial release, but dropped off the Hot 100 in February 2013. A couple of months later, a remix by rapper Nelly was released, and the song then re-entered the top 10.[8] The song reached a peak of No. 4 on the Hot 100 chart in its 34th week, one of the slowest climbs to the top five in the chart's history. The song also logged 24 weeks at No. 1 on Hot Country Songs, becoming the longest-running No. 1 single on that chart at the time, until it was surpassed in 2017 by Sam Hunt's "Body Like a Back Road".

"Cruise" went on to spend three weeks atop the Country Airplay chart—the most weeks at No. 1 on Country Airplay for a new act's first charted title since Gretchen Wilson's "Redneck Woman" in early 2004—and 24 weeks (over three different runs including the Nelly remix) atop the new Hot Country Songs chart. When the song reached its tenth week atop Hot Country Songs on May 18, 2013, it became the second song (Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together") to spend that many weeks at No. 1 since Buck Owens's "Love's Gonna Live Here" (16 weeks between October 1963 and February 1964). On August 24, 2013, it logged its 24th week at No. 1, the longest run at No. 1 in the chart's 69-year history (the previous record was 21 weeks held jointly by three songs, the last of which was Webb Pierce's "In the Jailhouse Now" from February to June 1955). On November 9, 2013, the song logged its 66th and final week on the Hot Country Songs chart,[23] setting a new all-time record of 56 weeks, previously held jointly by "Love Like Crazy" by Lee Brice and "Wanted" by Hunter Hayes, and just the sixth song to spend 52 or more weeks on the chart during a single chart run.

“Cruise” is a thoughtful and upbeat track comparing a girl to Tennessee country-rock band, Florida Georgia Line’s favorite pastimes. The track was first released as the opening track for their EP It'z Just What We Do, but was also added, along with the rest of the EP, to their debut studio album for Republic Nashville, titled Here’s to the Good Times, also as the opening track. It was filmed outside Nashville, and featured the duo driving and performing against an American flag backdrop at a colorful paint party, and showed shots of women as well as a game of strip poker.[21] In the remix, it features the duo, Nelly, and another friend of theirs, driving down a road. It shows shots of women on vehicles and riding with the men in the men's cars as they go down the country roads. Billboard Hot Country Songs chart for the week of August 11, 2012.[22] On the chart dated December 15, 2012, it reached No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Country Airplay chart in only its 19th week, achieving the fastest climb to the top of the chart for a debut single since Heartland's "I Loved Her First" in October 2006.

Decade-end charts

"She was sippin’ on Southern and singin’ Marshall Tucker / We were falling in love in the sweet heart of summer / She hopped right up into the cab of my truck and said / 'Fire it up, let’s go get this thing stuck,'" the song continues. "'Cruise' came out of another writing session in the middle of another song," Kelley tells Taste of Country of the day they wrote the song with their producer, Joey Moi, as well as Chase Rice and Jesse Rice. "We love back-roading and rolling down our windows and listening to music," Kelley admits with a grin.

A 3-Year Cruise Was Canceled Because It Didn't Have a Ship

3 year cruise cancelled

Cruises, which are making a comeback after the pandemic, can be a great experience for families and retirees as you get to see many new places without the hassle of planning an itinerary yourself. If you're looking for a trip shorter than three years, there are still options, including many ways to save on booking a cruise. The company told passengers it will repay them in monthly installments, as well as cover accommodation until December 1 and flights home for those in Istanbul. But, some told CNN they don't have a home to return to because they were anticipating being at sea for years. Life at Sea Cruises promised a voyage with stops around the world on all seven continents, with many unique cruise destinations.

Watch: How $300 million Carnival cruise ships are demolished in Turkey

"We tried everything to find a solution, but at the end of the day we couldn't get the investors and we couldn't sell enough cabins," Vedat Ugurlu, Miray's owner, told The Times. Life at Sea Cruises' inaugural trip was supposed to set sail three weeks ago. The company has said it will make refund repayments in monthly installments starting mid-December and will complete them in late February, according to CNN. It has also offered to pay for accommodations until December 1 and flights home for anyone who has already traveled to Istanbul. The three-year cruise was initially set to depart from Istanbul, Turkey on November 1.

Shortly before that date, it was postponed to November 11 and relocated to Amsterdam, then rescheduled to November 30. Life at Sea Cruises’ three-year cruise scheduled to set sail this month has officially been canceled. Miray's attempts to purchase the ship dragged on for weeks, and it eventually stalled after investors balked, according to a company message obtained by CNN and other outlets. "Still waiting for my refund. And now you've gone belly up?" a woman who identified herself as a Life at Sea customer said recently on the company's Instagram account. The woman, a retired educator, did not respond to NPR's message seeking further comment. Some passengers reportedly only learned of the cancellation after arriving in Turkey.

The itinerary took passengers from Istanbul and through the Mediterranean, then around South America, with a stop in Antarctica, before heading up to the Caribbean. After that, it would head through the Panama Canal before eventually going north to LA, west to Hawaii, back north to Alaska, then further out to Japan. "Because as you know, three-year cruises is a mega project. The reason for this is our vessel capacity—needed to exceed more than 600 cabins. And right now, we only have 104 cabins." In a statement to the news outlet, Miray Cruises owner Vedat Ugurlu said the cruise wasn't canceled but postponed until May 2024.

According to reports from ABC News and CNN, some passengers are now faced with what to do next after having sold their homes to embark on the three-year journey. On Nov. 19, two days after Holmes’ announcement, guests received another message, this time from Vedat Ugurlu, the owner of Miray International, who also stated that the cruise would not be departing, per CNN. But Miray Cruises' owner told ABC News this week they had only 150 passengers for a vessel with over 600 cabins. Life at Sea Cruises said it will make repayments in monthly installments to passengers from mid-December, but customers who had prepared for the trip of a lifetime are speaking out about the implications of the sudden cancellation. "In two days' time, we own this vessel," Life at Sea itinerary planner Robert Dixon said in late September, speaking in a promotional video from the bridge of a ship he called the "MV Lara." Those customers are now scrambling to make new plans for where they will live for the next three years — and to extract refunds from the cruise line.

Some cabins could host cats; travelers were also promised high-speed internet, free dining, alcohol and laundry service, and "enrichment seminars." When the cruise missed its planned departure date, the company promised to resolve lingering issues. In June, Life at Sea announced it had acquired a larger vessel for the trip, allowing it to accommodate 200 additional passengers. With that ship, the MV Lara, the company raised the price of the trip from $30,000 to $38,513. The Life At Sea cruise was canceled last minute after the owners failed to find a ship and said that investors withdrew. In March, Life at Sea Cruises announced it was accepting reservations for its three-year cruise around the world.

"We are going to be following summer the entire time that we go around the world," then-Life at Sea CEO Kendra Holmes told prospective passengers in a Zoom webinar in September. She found the experiencing disappointing with a number of ports and excursions canceled while they were out at sea. Royal Caribbean has also announced the cancellation of some of its cruises from South Florida Ports as well. Royal Caribbean has also announced a pause for cruises on its “Serenade of the Seas” through March 8. Norwegian Cruise Lines has canceled cruises on its “Norwegian Dawn” out of Tampa through Jan. 18. TAMPA, Fla. — Port Tampa Bay is losing some cruises in the coming months as a result of the surge in COVID-19 cases.

Life at Sea Cruises’ three-year sailing around the world has been canceled. Holmes resigned last week, according to CNN, days before Ugurlu officially announced the cancellation. "The minute I saw an ad, I thought, 'This is really right up my alley,'" Witman said.

She previously served as the senior editor of digital for ABC News, where she directed daily news coverage across topics through major events of the early 2020s for the network's website. Before that, she pioneered politics and election coverage for Elite Daily and went on to serve as the senior news editor for that group. What was once the trip of a lifetime has become the phantom trip from hell. Life at Sea did not immediately respond to additional questions about the guest’s experience.

"Some people read the headlines and think, 'Oh, that was a scam,' but I really did my homework before I put a deposit down," Keri Witman of Cincinnati told NPR. The original itinerary mapped 1,095 days of travel, heading from Istanbul to Europe and then to South America and the Caribbean. Passengers would then pass through the Panama Canal before seeing the U.S. Life at Sea is also promising to pay for the hotel rooms and return-trip airfares for passengers in Turkey. "We didn't get to see anything that we came to see, which was kind of sad for us because this is one we picked specifically for those ports... a bucket list kind of thing," Stephens said. The CDC said it expects most cruise lines to drop required testing, making it voluntary or optional after Jan. 15.

The Times reported that Miray asked passengers to sign an agreement spreading refund payments out between December and February. Now, less than two weeks before its maiden voyage, Life at Sea has acknowledged to anxious passengers that there is no ship, and that the once-in-a-lifetime trip has been canceled, CNN reported. Life at Sea previously pushed the cruise’s departure back multiple times.

Life at Sea Cruises also stated in the translated statement that any customers who want a refund will receive it, including money spent on acquiring visas and other travel expenses. They also told ABC News that those who have already paid will have a cabin waiting when the ship is ready. As of December 28, the Youssefs had been living in a hotel in Istanbul for a month — paid for by the cruise company — and were still waiting for their $80,000 refund, The Times reported.

The post-holiday blues can be a real kicker, but a cruise line is solving this with its three-year long cruise that has been revealed. "It moved me forward in a way that I wouldn't have done without this instigation. And I'm really thankful for it. I'm disappointed, but I'm ready to go for whatever opportunity comes up next." "And I'm hopeful that it will, because I'd like to be on it. I still believe in the concept. I think it's a really perfect opportunity for me." But it seems that it was the company's focus, not the public's, that was the problem. Miray's attempts to purchase the ship dragged on for weeks, and it eventually stalled after investors balked, according to a company message obtained by CNN and other outlets.

Get ready to visit all seven continents, 65 countries, over 150 ports of call, and 11 World Wonders.

The ship will also include a 24-hour on-call hospital with free medical visits, learning and enrichment classes, and the opportunity to make a positive impact through volunteer and philanthropic initiatives. Several companies announced new residency ships in the last year, where guests live onboard instead of ashore. Miray Cruises has announced it will open for bookings for a three-year world cruise on March 1, 2023. The cruise will sail onboard the 1992-built MV Gemini and visit 135 countries on seven continents from November 2023 through the end of 2026. Another perk is the mindfully curated sailing route (which is especially impressive on this interactive Google Earth map). “Our itinerary places the MV Lara in the Northern Hemisphere in the summers and the Southern in the winters, so it’s always summer for Life At Sea Cruises,” she adds.

AmenitiesIncluded in your entire adventure

Custom excursions and pre- and post-cruise tours organized by Abercrombie & Kent are available along the way (for an additional cost). Note that for the poshest lines, "entry-level" may mean a spacious, elegant suite with a veranda. Then your journey continues to even more destinations known for their storied history — like the fortified walls of Split, Croatia and the cobblestoned streets of Barcelona, Cannes and Provence. MV Gemini will make its way to destinations across the globe, including the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, Australia and Asia.

Travelers who don't want to commit to the entire cruise can book shorter segments. Fares start at $59,999 for this cruise that gives travelers the opportunity to visit 11 of the great wonders of the world, including the Taj Mahal, the Great Wall of China, and Chichen Itza. This ultimate bucket list cruise will take passengers to South America and Antarctica visiting 11 countries in 98 days. In exchange, passengers — or residents, as the company called them — were promised a long list of amenities, including an onboard hospital and doctor. Some cabins could host cats; travelers were also promised high-speed internet, free dining, alcohol and laundry service, and "enrichment seminars." Enjoy 133 days on Silversea's Silver Shadow with this round-trip sailing from San Francisco.

The company said that anyone requesting a refund will get one, and that it will reimburse travel expenses related to the cruise. And rather than portioning the cruise for sale in smaller stages, the company required customers to commit to the full three years. Witman, who owns a marketing agency named Clever Lucy, was planning to work remotely aboard the ship, using its Starlink internet service. And as a single woman, she had been looking forward to exploring the world with a group. Some passengers reportedly only learned of the cancellation after arriving in Turkey. Along the way, they would explore wonders of the world, visit UNESCO World Heritage sites and have plentiful chances to go diving and snorkeling, the company said.

Sail around the world in 132 nights aboard the Seven Seas Mariner on a round-trip journey from Miami. This 2024 world cruise, with fares starting at $73,499, is officially sold out, but you can join a waitlist to be notified of cancellations. Sailing the world with many of the same passengers offers an unprecendented bonding experience with like-minded travelers. The guests and crew become very much like a family on a world cruise, which can be a real joy to watch unfold — especially if you follow cruise etiquette and are considerate of others during the voyage.

For all its around-the-world cruises, Regent piles on primo inclusions — first-class flights, unlimited shore excursions, luggage service, an open bar and a visa package are among countless amenities. Perhaps because its 2025 sailing is nearly sold out, Regent Seven Seas Cruises is one of the first cruise lines to announce its 2026 world voyage, also on Seven Seas Mariner. For 2025, Princess offers two 116-day world cruise itinerary options on Island Princess, one round-trip from Fort Lauderdale and the other round-trip from Los Angeles. This ship delivers many onboard activities like cooking and dance classes, trivia contests, enrichment programs and games of basketball, volleyball and tennis on the sports court.

However, luxury tour operator Abercrombie & Kent acquired it and brought it back to life with a $150 million glow-up, starting with 740-passenger Crystal Serenity. If luxury and unparalleled personal service are important to you, consider Crystal's 2025 world cruise aboard Crystal Serenity. World cruises traditionally start in January and end around April or May. They sail round-trip from one American city, such as San Francisco or Miami, or offer a choice of starting points on both coasts, making access easy. From the eclectic cities of Sydney and Melbourne to the pristine beaches of the South Pacific, this region offers a unique blend of adventure and relaxation.

If a week or two isn't enough time on a cruise, Life at Sea has an alternative for you. The brand from Miray Cruises will offer a three-year cruise around the world visiting nearly 400 ports, the brand announced Wednesday. MV Gemini first sets sail in 1992 as the Crown Jewel for Crown Cruise Line. Since then, the cruise ship has sailed for a long list of owners, including Cunard, Star Cruises, and Celestyal Cruises.

While she almost pulled out of the trip after controversy over the initial plan to use the Gemini for the cruise, Thomas is now committed to the voyage. Miray Cruises also sued Petterson in Florida state court with claims that include defamation and interfering with business relationships. At the time, Miray Cruises disputed Petterson's characterization of Gemini, and also vowed that the trip would proceed as planned, although it was not clear whether that would involve Gemini or another ship. Petterson's comments dismayed many people who had signed up for the trip, including one man who had begun the process of selling his home to pay for it.
